Last day in Rome: gelato, crosswords, and the hangout restaurant
Vår sista dag i Rom och det skulle bli vår varmaste dag under resan. På grund av förkylning stannade jag dock inomhus hela fömiddagen. Försökte ta mig upp från sängen och ge mig ut flera gånger, men det bara gick inte. Efter lunchtid samlade jag ihop all energi jag hade i kroppen för att möta upp de andra som var på väg till Castel Sant'Angelo.

Our last day in Rome, and it was about to be the warmest day on our trip. Due to having a cold, I stayed indoors the whole morning, however. Tried to get up and out several times, but I just couldn't manage. After lunch time I pulled my self together and got out to meet the other one's that were on their way to Castel Sant'Angelo.
Men jag kom inte så långt. Till tågstationen efter ungefär tjugo minuters promenad. Blev helt slut. Vände om hemåt. Tröstade mig med att köpa yoghurt, juice, och glass på vägen hem. (Sorry för dålig vinkel.)

But I couldn't walk so far. After around twenty minutes of walk I reached the train station. By then, I was all out of energy. Returned back home. Comforted myself by buying yogurt, juice, and ice cream on the way home.
Glassen köpte jag här. På Gelateria La Romana. God glass. Krämigare än annan gelato jag är van vid. Minus på att de inte hade citronglass. Men den gula (minns ej vilken sort :( ), och yoghurtsmaken var trevlig.

I bought the ice cream here. At Gelateria La Romana. Good ice cream. More creamy than other gelato I'm used to. On the backside, they didn't have lemon flavor. The yellow (can't recall the flavor) and yoghurt flavor was nice.
Tillbringade resten av eftermiddag i lägenheten. Löste korsord och sov. Fick sällskap emellanåt när de andra kom tillbaka.

Spent the rest of the afternoon in the apartment. Solved crosswords and slept. Occasionally, I got company when the other returned.
På kvällen hade Batucci bokat bort åt oss på hans stammisställe Astemio Wine and Food (vilket tydligen betyder nykterist enligt mina italiensktalande vänner).

In the evening, Batucci had booked a table at his hangout restaurant Astemio Wine and Food (which, according to my Italian speaking friends mean abstainer).
Fanns MASSOR av viner och bubbel att välja bland. Jag knaprade dock ipren så fick hålla mig till äppeljuice. Bagge sa till personalen att jag var nykterist så jag inte skulle bli serverad vin.

There was A LOT of wines and champanges to chose from. Thought, I had taken ibuprofen and drank apple juice. Bagge had to tell the waitresses that I was an abstainer to not be served wine.
De hade ingen rätt på menyn jag kunde äta, men de slängde ihop det här efter att Bagge dragit min allergilista. Sallad, mozzarella, och potatis. Hade ingen aptit pga förkylningen, men tvingade i mig mozzarellan och så mycket av potatisen och salladen jag kunde.

On the menu, there was no dish I could consume, but they composed this dish after Bagge had told them my allergies. Salad, mozzarella, and potatoes. I had no apetite due to having a cold, but managed to force myself to eat the mozzarella, and as much of the salad and potatoes that I could.
Kände mig mer och mer febrig, och behövde gå till toaletten flera gånger för att snyta mig. Så jag bestämde mig för att lämna restaurangen och vandra hemåt genom romerska natten. (Santa Maria Maggiore på bilden.) Sov medan de andra fortsatte vidare till cocktailbarer. Morgonen efter lämnade vi Italien och landade i ett regnigt Göteborg. Klart slut från denna Rom-resa.

Felt more and more of my fever, and needed to visit the toilet several times to blow my nose. So I decided to leave the restaurant and walk home in the Roman night. (Church of Santa Maria Maggiore in the picture.) Was sleeping while the other's visisted cocktail bars. We left Italy the morning after, and arrived in a rainy Gothenburg. Over and out from this Rome trip.
