When we were chillin' and grillin' and Thess' dreads we were killin'
Det var LÖRDAG kväll. Jag var ledig. Vandrade över till Emilsborg i solnedgången.

It was SATURDAY evening. I was off. Walked over to Emilsborg in the sunset.
För att hjälpa Thess att klippa av hennes dreads! Hon hade ordnat med lekar där vinnaren fick i pris att klippa av en fläta. Vinnaren i slutet av kvällen skulle bli den med flest dreads i handen.

To help Thess cut off her dreads! She had come up with games where the winner's prize was to cut off a dread. The final winner would be the person having the most dreads in one's hand in the end of the evening.
En pågående tävling under kvällen var "pimpa potatisen". Alla fick varsin potatis som skylle pyntas och stylas på ett kreativt sätt och senare skulle Thess utse en vinnare.

A continuous game during the evening was "pimp the potato". Everyone got a potato and free hands to decorate and style it in a creative way and then Thess would chose a winner.
Astrid, Jens, och Olivia var med och lekte. Lyckades fånga ögonblicket efter att Thess berättat en mycket rolig historia. Vilket i och för sig är hennes paradgren skulle jag säga.

Astrid, Jens, and Olivia were also participants. Managed to capture the moment after Thess had told a very funny story. Which overall is something Thess is excellent at, I would say.

The sun was setting behind the birches and apartments.
En annan lek var Hela havet stormar, fast på trädgårdsbänkar istället för stolar. Jag tror jag kom trea ändå. Och fick sedan sitta ner för att paxa en plats till finalen.

Another game was Musical chairs, but with benches instead of chairs. Think I ended up at third place. And had to sit down to take up a place for the final.

Jag provsmakade Thess grillspett med sojafärs men fick en allergisk reaktion (är det någon mer krydda jag inte tål eller var det rosépeppar i? Ingen vet än :( ). Köpte glass och chips för att lugna reaktionen. Valde sedan att pimpa min potatis med glasspinnen. Mest för att det inte fanns någon papperskorg i närheten där jag kunde slänga den. Upptäckte att det blev en väldigt semestrig styling med solbrillor och palmer i bakgrunden. Så detta blev mitt bidrag - Potatis på semester. Vann dock inte :(

I tasted the skewers with minced soya that Thess had made but had an allergic reaction (is there any more spices I can't eat or was it pink peppercorn in them? No one knows yet :( ). Bought popsicle and chips to ease the reaction. Then, chosed to pimp my potato the the stick. Mostly since I couldn't found any bin nearby to throw it. Discovered that I could make a very vacation-like styling with the sunnies and palms in the background. So this was my contribution - Potato on vacation. Didn't win though. :(
Vi hade också fria händer att hitta på egna lekar. Så Abdi, Thess pojkvän, kom på en hoppa-baklänges-tävling. Jens, jag, och Emma var domare och publik.

We were also free to come up with other games. So Abdi, Thess' boyfriend, come up with a jump-backward-game. Jens, me, and Emma were judges and audience.

Efter några dryckeslekar hade jag till slut fått två flätor, och vi spelade Cards against humanity tills det blev så kallt att vi behövde gå in.

After some drinking games and I finally had won two dreads, we played Cards against humanity until it was so cooled that we had to get inside.
Där spelade vi "That's you" med våra telefoner och playstation. Jag blev tydligen den som städade mest i gruppen? (Förklaring till bilden: det första en ska göra är att ta en knasig selfie.)

Indoors, we played "That's you" with our phones and playstation. Apparently, I became the one who's cleaning most in this group? (Explanation to the picture: the first thing to do is to take a weird selfie.)
Thess bestämde en ny tävling där en skulle ta en kul selfie på sig själv. Eller kul och kul. En selfie. Jag använde mina två dreads jag vunnit och ritade sedan till en krona och glans. Och så spelade vi Blackjack med våra vunna dreads som insatser.

Thess came up with a new game where we were to take funny selfies. Or funny and funny. A selfie. I used the two dreads I had won and then draw a crown and glory. And then we played Blackjack with our dreads as markers.
Vinnaren i potatis-tävlingen korades. Varken den söta potatis-musen eller Teenage Mutant Ninja Thess-potatisen vann. Det gjorde den förkolnade potatisen som legat i grillaskan och blivit spetsad på ett grillspett och som representerade döden av Thess dreads-era.

The winner of the potato-competition was announced. Neither the cute potato-mouse nor the Teenage Mutant Ninja Thess-potato won. But the charred potato which had been layed in the ashes and impaled by a skewer and was representing the death of Thess' dreads era.
Sista flätan klippte hon själv. Vi hade sparat hennes "favorit" åt henne. Så snälla vänner, aight?

4 år av dreads - som egentligen bara skulle bli ett - var härmed över. Eller ja, hon får ju fläta ut dem också.

4 years of dreads - which originally only were thought to be one - were hearby over. Well, she has to unwrapped them of course.
